Shibori Indigo
Sara Vranes
Sara is a midwife, community activist, and the artist behind Fiber Luna Studio. A long time appreciator & collector of the arts, Sara began experimenting with tie dye & sewing her own clothes as a teenager growing up in San Francisco. Now, as she has laid down her roots in Salt Lake City, Sara’s skill and appreciation has grown as she is now experienced in the art of stained glass, clay beads, ice dying, and, of course, indigo shibori. Sara enjoys teaching and sharing her love of the arts with others. Come learn from Sara at this beginner friendly indigo shibori class.
Quilting + Sewing + Folkcraft Socials
Virginia Whiting
Virginia Whiting has a life-long love of making and creating. She learned sewing and quilting at her Grandma Virginia's knee as a child and picked it up again after she had her own two children. For the past decade, she has been obsessed with the whole world of quilting, fabric and textile art, learning everything she can, collecting FAR too much fabric, having a million ideas and even finishing a number of lovely projects along the way! In the past, she’s worked as a florist, wilderness guide and a librarian; currently, she loves her work teaching pottery at a local Waldorf school and working and teaching at Handcraft Revival.
