A Folk School Gathering
Saturday, May 30
1:00–5:00 PM
Handcraft Revival • Sugar House
Free. No tickets required.
As spring returns, we’re gathering to practice something older than retail — a small experiment in community economy.
In The Serviceberry, Robin Wall Kimmerer writes about the gift economy: a system rooted in trust, reciprocity, and shared abundance. Not buying and selling, but circulating. Not keeping score, but keeping relationship.
This Supply Swap is our quiet version of that.
Contribute what you can.
Take what you need.
Trust it balances out.
How It Works
• Bring your items between 11:00–1:00 PM *If this time doesn't work for you just reach out and we can arrange another time for drop off.
• We’ll sort and lay everything out together
• Swapping begins at 2:00 PM
• Take what inspires you
No point system. No exact exchange.
We’re practicing generosity and balance — and we’ll refine as we learn.
What to Bring
Clean, usable craft supplies such as:
• Yarn (full or partial skeins, neatly wound)
• Fabric
• Embroidery thread
• Paper goods (scrapbook paper, cards etc)
• Beads
• Craft tools
• Kits or seasonal materials
Please no broken tools, unusable scraps, or household clutter. This is a craft-focused gathering.
Stay & Stitch
Our handwork tables will be open.
Bring a small project. Sip tea. Visit.
The point isn’t just the materials — it’s the rhythm of being together.
