There’s a quiet rhythm to stitching with purpose—especially when each stitch becomes part of a pattern revealed in dye.
In this Folkcraft Social, we’ll explore stitch resist shibori, a traditional technique where simple hand stitches are pulled tight to resist indigo dye. As the cloth is gathered and dipped, those stitched areas hold back the color—creating soft lines, textures, and organic pattern.
We’ll spend time stitching together, then move to the indigo vat to watch those patterns slowly emerge.
