This creative summer camp invites students to transform reclaimed and recycled materials into playful, one-of-a-kind yard art. Over the course of the week, campers will design and build projects such as wind chimes, bird houses, garden stakes, and other outdoor decorations—learning how everyday materials can be repurposed into something beautiful and functional.
This camp emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and experimentation, with plenty of room for personal ideas and imaginative design.
What We’ll Explore
- Working with reclaimed and recycled materials
- Basic construction and assembly techniques
- Designing functional outdoor art
- Exploring balance, sound, texture, and form
- Creative problem-solving and experimentation
Projects
Projects may include:
- Wind chimes
- Bird houses
- Garden stakes or markers
- Other small outdoor or yard art pieces
Projects will vary based on interest and materials, and students are encouraged to follow their curiosity and ideas.

Because projects develop across the week, drop-in registration is not available for this camp.

Supply Fee: $15
The supply fee includes reclaimed materials and supplies used throughout the week.
Daily Camp Rhythm
Each day includes guided project time, opportunities for independent exploration, a short outdoor break, and time to return to work with fresh focus.
Good to Know
- No prior experience is required
- This camp may include the use of basic hand tools, with guidance
- Please send students in clothing that can get a little messy
