Taught by Melissa Turley
Get ready for a week of imaginative creativity and hands-on fun at our Paper Mâché Summer Camp. Campers will explore the classic technique of building with paper and paste, learning how simple materials can be transformed into colorful, sculptural works of art.
Throughout the week, students will work through a series of projects that encourage experimentation, problem-solving, and artistic expression. Campers will begin by creating a small paper mâché piñata and a decorative sculptural piece, building skills and confidence as they go. The week culminates in the design and construction of a whimsical fairy or gnome house, created using paper mâché, recycled materials, and found objects.
This camp is a playful journey into art and storytelling through craft. Students will have time to imagine, build, revise, and add details, allowing their ideas to grow and evolve across the week.
