Ages 8+ | June 18–19 | 1:00–4:00pm
Taught by Julie Uriona
In this hands-on, two-day mini camp, students will explore how people across history made music using simple materials, careful listening, and creativity. Before factories and recordings, instruments were crafted by hand—and music was something you made, not just something you consumed.
Campers will learn how sound is created through rhythm, vibration, tension, and air while building their own folk-style instruments inspired by traditions from around the world. Each day includes storytelling, listening, guided making time, and playful music-making together.
This camp offers a tactile, craft-centered way to explore music and pairs beautifully with Music Through the Ages: Melodica for a full week of musical learning.
