Ages 11+ | June 22–26 | 1:00–4:00pm
Taught by Jennifer Samuelson
Join Jennifer Samuelson for a week of creativity and craftsmanship as students explore the art of bookmaking. This hands-on camp introduces teens to several traditional book arts techniques, all of which come together in a final, one-of-a-kind handmade book.
Throughout the week, students will experiment with paper, print, and structure—learning how individual elements combine to create a finished journal or sketchbook they can use and treasure.
What We’ll Explore
- Handmade cotton paper creation
- Marbled paper design
- Linoleum block printing
- Sewn journal or sketchbook binding
Project
By the end of the week, each student will complete a beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade book, incorporating their own paper, prints, and sewn binding.
