Create beautiful, handcrafted gifts in time for the holidays while learning the traditional art of cold-process soap making.
In this beginner-friendly class, Jennifer of Olio Skin will guide you through the soap-making process from beginning to end. You’ll customize your batch by choosing your own scent, color, and botanical or exfoliating additions, then take home approximately 1.5 pounds of soap—enough to make eight guest-size bars.
Once cured, your soaps will be ready to wrap with ribbon and gift tags for thoughtful handmade holiday presents. By making your batch in October, it will have plenty of time to cure before the holiday season.
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Come ready to learn, experiment, and discover why Jennifer believes soap making is a practical skill worth bringing back.
Meet the Instructor
Jennifer is the maker behind Olio Skin and is passionate about sharing the benefits and traditions of handcrafted soap.

Jennifer believes handmade soap is better for our skin—and that the knowledge behind this once-common household craft shouldn’t be kept secret. Her classes make the process approachable, creative, and genuinely fun.
What You’ll Make
Each participant will create approximately 1.5 pounds of customized cold-process soap, yielding around eight guest-size bars. You’ll select your own combination of:
- Scent
- Color
- Botanical ingredients or exfoliating additions
What to Bring
All soap-making ingredients and materials are provided. Additional safety and clothing information will be emailed before class.
Parking
Street parking is available along 1100 East and throughout the surrounding neighborhood. Please be considerate of our neighbors and avoid blocking driveways.
Cancellations
Cancellations made at least one week before class are eligible for store credit. Within one week of class, registrations are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another person.
Pairs well with
- In-stock orders are generally shipped within 3–5 business days.
Unused, unopened, regularly priced merchandise may be returned within 14 days of purchase or delivery.
To qualify for a return, merchandise must be in its original condition with all packaging, labels, and tags intact. Proof of purchase is required.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as Handcraft Revival cannot issue a refund for a return package we do not receive.

We offer a flat shipping rate of $6.95 on orders shipped within the United States.
In-stock orders are generally prepared and shipped within 3–5 business days. Delivery time begins once the package has been accepted by the carrier and may vary depending on the destination, weather, holidays, or carrier delays.
Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Please double-check your shipping address before submitting your order. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has been processed or shipped.

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect, contact us within five days of delivery. Please include your order number and photographs of the item and packaging so we can make it right.
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Felt, fabric, ribbon, or other materials cut to order
- Yarn, wool, roving, or fibers divided or prepared in custom quantities
- Food, candy, beverages, and other consumable products
- Digital products and downloadable patterns
- Books and printed patterns
- Gift cards
- Clearance and final-sale merchandise
- Class, event, club, and social registrations, except as outlined below
