Welcome the coming of autumn with a cozy evening of knitting and community at Handcraft Revival.

For this Folkcraft Social, we’re delighted to welcome guest maker Carole Duh of @dodadsforyou. Carole will share her charming knitted pumpkins, talk about her process, and offer guidance as participants begin pumpkins of their own.

Guests will have time to knit together, ask questions, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of making alongside other members of our handwork community. Carole will also have a sample pumpkin on display and a small batch of finished pumpkins available to purchase.

Learn and Make

During the evening, Carole will share how her knitted pumpkins come together and offer guidance as you begin your own. This gathering is designed to feel more like a relaxed evening of making together than a traditional class, with plenty of room for conversation, questions, and working at your own pace.

Participants will learn about:

  • The basic construction of a knitted pumpkin
  • Shaping and assembling the pumpkin
  • Carole’s preferred techniques and finishing details
  • Ways to vary the colors and personality of each pumpkin

Depending on your knitting speed & pumpkin size, you may complete your pumpkin during the social or take it home to finish.

Supplies and Pattern

Every registered participant will receive Carole’s knitted pumpkin pattern at no additional cost. A complete supply list will be included in your registration confirmation email.

You are welcome to bring the listed supplies from home or purchase them from the Handcraft Revival market. Registered participants will receive 10% off supplies purchased specifically for this project. Supplies may be purchased on the night of the Folkcraft Social or at any time before the event.
