What is Craft Club?
Give your child a calm, creative place to settle in after the school day. Inspired by the gentle rhythm of Waldorf education, Craft Club invites children to explore seasonal art and craft projects using natural and artist-quality materials.
Throughout the fall, students will experiment with materials such as wool, wood, cotton, beeswax, watercolor, and paper. Projects may include gourd birdhouses, paper flowers, felted soap, simple sewing, and mixed-media art.
Each week offers time to create, explore color and texture, build practical skills, and experience the joy of making something by hand.
What Students Will Experience
- Guided seasonal art and craft projects
- Watercolor, beeswax, wool, paper, and other natural materials
- Painting, simple sewing, paper crafts, and mixed-media art
- Opportunities to explore color, texture, and construction
- Fine-motor skill development
- Creative confidence and personal expression
- A calm, screen-free after-school rhythm
- The satisfaction of completing projects by hand
Experience Level
No prior experience is required. Projects are designed to be welcoming, skill-building, and adaptable for a range of ages and abilities.
Anita will guide students through each project while allowing room for creativity and personal expression.
Supplies and Materials
Full-session registration includes a $30 supply fee covering the materials needed for instructor-selected projects throughout the fall session. Unlike a refundable supply deposit, this fee is used to purchase and prepare materials for the planned projects and is nonrefundable once the session begins.
Students will have access to high-quality natural and artist-grade materials, along with shared studio tools.
If a child wishes to create something beyond the planned project or use materials beyond those included, we will contact a parent before approving an additional supply purchase.
Drop-In Registration
Drop-in spaces may be released closer to each meeting based on remaining club capacity. Registration will open before each available club date.
The $30 drop-in rate includes instruction and the materials needed for that day’s planned project. Because materials are prepared in advance, availability may vary depending on the project.
Please email contactus@handcraftrevival.com if your child would like to drop in. One week’s notice is appreciated, but same-day participation may occasionally be available when space and materials allow.
Make-Up Class
If your child misses one regularly scheduled club meeting, they may attend the make-up class on Thursday, December 3, from 3:00–4:00 PM. Each full-session student may use the make-up class once during the fall term.
Please notify us in advance if your child plans to attend so we can prepare the appropriate project materials.
The make-up class is included with full-session registration and is not available for drop-in registrations.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least one week before the beginning of the full session may receive store credit. Within one week of the session start, registration is nonrefundable but may be transferred to another eligible student.
Missed club meetings are nonrefundable. One missed meeting may be made up during the designated December 3 make-up class.
Drop-in registrations follow our standard class cancellation policy. Store credit is available when canceled at least one week in advance. Within one week, registration is nonrefundable but may be transferred to another eligible student.
