October is the perfect month for broom making! Whether you’re after a functional tool for your home or something a little more witchy for the season, this workshop will connect you with a time-honored craft. Under the guidance of Johanna, you’ll learn broom history, explore traditional materials and tools, and then make two hand brooms to take home:

• A bunch broom (pot scrubber) – small, sturdy, and perfect for everyday use.
• A turkey wing whisk – a classic hand broom that looks just as good hanging on the wall as it does sweeping up.

This class is beginner-friendly, but be prepared for some hands-on work. Moderate hand strength is recommended.

• All materials provided – broom corn, cord, and equipment
• Wear comfortable clothing – pants are best, as broom corn can be scratchy
• Shoes required – sneakers or other secure shoes are ideal
• Ages: Designed for adults. Teens 14+ may register with an adult

Yes! Teens ages 14+ may register when accompanied by an adult.

What is your refund policy?
Workshop tickets are refundable for store credit up to 1 week before class. After that, tickets are always transferable to a friend—just let us know who will be taking your spot.
