November is Native American Heritage Month, and we’re honoring the occasion by gathering to learn the traditional craft of cornhusk doll making with Native artist Amy Riggs.
Participants will soak, shape, fold, and tie dried corn husks to create handmade dolls. As everyone works, Amy will share about the history and continuing traditions surrounding these simple figures and the ways creativity, resourcefulness, storytelling, and natural materials come together within the craft.
This all-ages class is designed for families, friends, and individual makers who would like to slow down and create something meaningful together. School-age children can work independently, while younger children are welcome to participate alongside an assisting adult.
This class is shared in appreciation of and respect for the Native American cultural traditions from which this craft comes.

Ticket Options
General Ticket — $35
Includes two cornhusk doll kits, instruction, and all materials. The General Ticket holder will take home the two finished dolls.
Add-On Participant — $15
For a parent or sibling who would like to participate and share in the making process. This ticket does not include an additional doll kit. Add-On Participants will work alongside a General Ticket holder, and the finished dolls will go home with the General Ticket holder.
Helpful Notes
All ages are welcome.
The project is best suited to children ages 6+ working independently.
Younger children may attend with an adult who can assist them.
Children ages 6+ may be dropped off. Please return promptly at the end of class.
A supervising parent or guardian of a child under 6 does not need a ticket.
Adults who would like to actively participate should purchase an Add-On Participant ticket.
Refund & Transfer Policy
Cancellations made at least one week before the class are eligible for store credit. Within one week of the class, registrations may be transferred to another person but are not eligible for store credit. Please contact Handcraft Revival at least 24 hours in advance when transferring your registration.
Photography
Photos and short video clips may be taken during class for Handcraft Revival’s social media and marketing. If you or your child prefer not to be photographed, please let us know at arrival. We are happy to accommodate your preference.
