Discover the delicate, time-honored art of shuttle tatting in this beginner-friendly lace-making class with Jann Davis and Laurel Cannon Alder.
Tatting is a traditional form of lacemaking that uses a series of carefully formed knots and loops to create beautiful, intricate patterns from thread. With just a small handheld shuttle and a little patience, simple stitches become delicate lace that can be treasured for years.
In this hands-on class, Jann and Laurel will guide you through the foundational techniques of shuttle tatting as you begin creating your own handmade lace bookmark. You'll learn how to form double stitches, rings, and chains while developing the rhythm and hand movements that make this heritage craft so satisfying.
With only eight participants, this class offers plenty of individual attention and encouragement as you learn a new skill.
