{8/19 or 20} Beginning Stained Glass: Desert Cactus

with Annie Christensen of Alta Stained Glass

Spend an evening learning the art of stained glass assembly with local stained glass artist Annie Christensen of Alta Stained Glass.

In this beginner-friendly class, students will work with pre-cut glass pieces while learning the copper foil and soldering process used in traditional stained glass work. Annie will guide students through foiling, fitting, soldering, and finishing their piece step by step as everyone creates their own charming stained glass cactus to take home.

This class is a wonderful introduction to stained glass soldering and assembly, and is especially great for students who may not be ready to learn glass cutting just yet — or for those who have taken one of Annie’s previous classes and would like more practice with foiling and soldering techniques.

What You'll Learn

• How to apply copper foil to stained glass pieces

What You'll Make

Each student will complete one stained glass cactus piece using pre-cut glass pieces. Multiple green glass variations will be available, allowing each piece to feel a little unique.
