Festival Friday: A Tale of Courage
Friday, September 18
1PM-3PM (or whenever child finishes their craft)
Ages 6+ | Younger children may attend with an adult
$5 per participant
Join us for the first of our Festival Fridays—a new series of seasonal gatherings centered around stories, making, and the rhythms of the year.
Our first gathering is inspired by the Waldorf Festival of Courage. We’ll begin with the beloved story of Saint George and the Dragon, then bring the tale into our hands by creating swords from cardboard and decorating them with colors, patterns, and meaningful symbols.
Through story, imagination, and handwork, children will be invited to explore courage and what it means to meet the dragons—big and small—in their own lives.
We hope to gather for a new Festival Friday each month, sharing a special story and an accompanying craft that connects us to the season.
All materials are included. Please dress for painting and making!
