Private Handwork Lesson (Summer Camp Preparation)

Personalized instruction for young makers preparing for Handwork Studio Summer Camp.

New to handwork? These private lessons offer gentle one-on-one guidance to help children build confidence with foundational skills before joining our summer camp environment.

📌 Required for brand-new Handwork Studio Summer Camp students
If your child has never knit, crocheted, sewn, embroidered, or participated in handwork before, please schedule a private lesson before camp begins. This allows us to introduce essential skills and helps ensure a smoother and more successful group experience during camp week.

Already have some handwork experience or a project in progress? These lessons are also a wonderful way to receive personalized help and prepare for the specific skills or projects your child hopes to focus on during camp.

Lesson Options

Choose the length that fits your child’s learning needs:

30-Minute Lesson — $25
• Perfect for basic introductions, refreshers, or confident beginners

1-Hour Lesson — $50
• Recommended for total beginners or children needing extra support before camp
• May be split into two 30-minute sessions if that is a better fit for the child’s learning style and attention span.  Just choose 30 minutes lesson and sign up for 2 sessions.

Depending on the child’s interests, lessons may include:

• Knitting
• Crochet
• Embroidery
• Hand sewing
• Cross stitch
• Basic handwork tool skills & organization

All practice tools and materials are provided during the lesson. Supplies will also be available for purchase if your child would like to continue practicing at home.
