Taught by Native American Artist Amy Riggs
All Ages Class
Description
November is Native American Heritage Month, and we’re honoring traditional craft this season by making Cornhusk Dolls—simple, beautiful figures that have been cherished by Native American communities for generations.
Under the guidance of Native Amerian artist Amy Riggs, participants will soak, shape, and tie dried corn husks to create a one-of-a-kind doll to take home. As we work, we’ll reflect on the longstanding cultural traditions behind these handmade figures and the values they represent—creativity, simplicity, and connection to the natural world.
This workshop is part of our All Ages Series, designed for families, friends, and individual makers who want to slow down and create something meaningful together.
🌾 This workshop is inspired by Native American traditions and shared in appreciation and respect for the cultural roots of this craft.
