Discover the beautiful world of plant-based color in this hands-on workshop with fiber artist Jennifer Samuelson, co-owner of Handcraft Revival in Sugarhouse. Held at the inspiring 42nd Street Greenhouse, this evening class will introduce you to the art of natural dyeing with botanicals.

You’ll learn some basics of fiber dyeing using plants and explore how vibrant hues can be coaxed from nature. Jennifer brings over a decade of fiber arts teaching experience and years of focused study in botanical dyeing.

With a passion for natural color and a thriving dye garden of her own, Jennifer will introduce you to a variety of plants that can be grown at home to produce beautiful, natural dyes. She & Cynthia will share tips for selecting, planting, and caring for dye plants—whether you have a backyard, a raised bed, or just a few pots on a patio. You’ll leave with the knowledge and inspiration to start your own dye garden and begin your journey into the colorful world of plant-based fiber arts.
