There’s nothing quite like starting the holiday season with a bit of patchwork magic.  In this cozy morning workshop, you’ll create a beautifully pieced fabric panel using timeless quilting techniques and festive, seasonal prints.

All the fabric patches are pre-cut and ready to sew, so you can dive right into the fun part—arranging your layout, piecing your design, and enjoying the satisfying rhythm of stitching it all together.

Virginia will guide you through every step as you craft your own patchwork design—the perfect foundation for holiday projects like a Christmas stocking, pillow, table runner, doll quilt, or wall hanging.

You’ll leave with a completed pieced panel, ready to transform into a one-of-a-kind handmade treasure for your home or to gift this holiday season.

• Ages 16+ (youngers welcome with accompanying adult)
• Experience: Basic sewing machine familiarity required (you should (mostly)know how to thread and operate a machine)

FAQ

Do I need sewing experience?
You should have basic familiarity with a sewing machine—enough to thread it, adjust stitches, and sew straight seams. You don’t need quilting experience!

What should I bring?
Just yourself—everything you need is provided. If you have a favorite pair of fabric scissors or a special scrap you’d like to include, feel free to bring it.

Can I come to just this session?
Yes! The morning session stands on its own, but many participants enjoy staying for the afternoon to create the full stocking.

Will there be a lunch break?
Yes, we’ll break between sessions. You can add on a hearty chili-and-cornbread lunch for $10, or bring your own and enjoy it in the studio.
