{7/18} Hand-Dipped Beeswax Tapers w/ Apiana Blooms

Slow down for a summer morning spent dipping candles the old-fashioned way.

In this hands-on class, students will learn the timeless craft of hand-dipped beeswax taper candles — a beautiful tradition practiced for centuries in homes, workshops, and small village gatherings. Guided by Felicia Sanchez of Apiana Blooms participants will be introduced to the history of beeswax candles before learning the rhythmic process of dipping, layering, and shaping their own tapers by hand.

As warm layers of beeswax slowly build, each student will create two sets of classic taper candles to take home — perfect for summer tables, porch dinners, thoughtful gifts, or simply adding a handmade glow to everyday life.

This class is beginner-friendly and intentionally kept small to allow for plenty of guidance and a relaxed studio atmosphere.

Helpful Notes / FAQs

• No experience needed — great for beginners!
• Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled.
• Wear clothing you won’t mind getting a little wax on.
• Beeswax candles may soften slightly in hot cars — plan to bring them inside after class.
• Due to the nature of the dipping process, students will be standing for portions of the class.

Refundable for store credit up until 1 week before the event.
After that, tickets are transferable to another person only. Please try to give us a heads up at least 24 hours in advance.
