Celebrate spring with one of the most beloved Easter traditions: Pysanky egg decorating. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn the Ukrainian art of creating intricate designs on eggs using a wax-resist technique and layered dyes.

Guided by Kami Hayes, you’ll use a traditional stylus tool (called a kistka) to apply melted wax to your egg in patterns and symbols. The egg is dyed in stages—each layer revealing brighter colors and more detail as the wax is removed.

This process is both meditative and magical, and the finished result is a stunning keepsake that can be displayed year after year.

No prior experience is needed—just come ready to slow down, learn a beautiful tradition, and create something meaningful.
