Ages 11+ | July 30–31 (Thursday–Friday) | 1–4pm
Taught by Sara Vranes
This camp is Part 2 of a two-part Sew & Dye experience. Students will learn traditional shibori resist-dyeing techniques and use them to transform fabric into patterned, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Students who completed Part 1: Sew a Tote Bag earlier in the week are encouraged to bring their handmade tote to dye and finish their project. Students may also register for Part 2 on its own and will be provided fabric to dye during camp.
This section focuses on process, experimentation, and learning how folding, binding, stitching, and clamping fabric creates pattern through dye.
