Learn the traditional craft of cold process soap making in this beginner-friendly hands-on class with Jennifer of Olio Skin & Beard Co..

Focused on creating a nourishing Castile-style soap bar full of rich oils and moisturizing ingredients, this class will guide students through the fascinating process of transforming oils and lye into handmade soap through saponification.

Throughout the evening, students will learn the foundations of cold process soap making while exploring the properties of different oils, understanding safe soap-making practices, and customizing their batch with a choice of scents such as lavender, peppermint, citrus, or cedarwood.

This class combines practical instruction with hands-on making in a welcoming small-group setting, giving students the confidence to understand the cold process method while creating a batch of soap to take home and cure.

Students will leave class with approximately 1.5 pounds of handmade cold process soap — roughly four full-sized bars — made using Olio’s soap recipe.
