Handwork for Homeschoolers {Spring Session}

Grades 1 & up • Handcraft Revival

Carry the cozy rhythm of handwork into the spring months as we deepen our knitting practice and explore seasonal crafts with wool and natural materials.

This 10-week session welcomes both returning students and new friends joining us for the first time. Returning students will continue their knitting projects and refine their skills, while new students will receive step-by-step guidance to feel right at home in our circle.

Each class follows a steady, nourishing rhythm inspired by the Waldorf tradition:

✨ Work time - current or new projects
✨ Nature walk & snack
✨ Open work period for knitting and side projects

🧶 What You’ll Make & Learn

• Strengthen knitting skills: casting on, knit stitch, binding off, and simple shaping
• Create small knitted projects such as balls, cats, simple gnomes, or animals
• Add embroidery or embellishments to existing handwork bags and projects
• Care for materials and tools while building patience, focus, and creativity

🧵 Tuition & Materials

Tuition includes use of all necessary tools during class, including knitting needles, tapestry needles, scissors, and other shared handwork tools.

Each student will also receive 4 oz of wool yarn to use for their projects during the session.

If a student would like to use additional yarn beyond the included amount, we will contact parents before approving further use so it can be purchased. Students are also welcome to continue skill-building exercises or smaller handwork tasks that do not require additional yarn.

Drop-In Option: $30 per class (space permitting) - Opens the Sunday before the  first day of class
